My Introduction

 


MY INTRODUCTION


My name is Jesica Alejandra Gutierrez, I'm 26 years old, I'm from Colombia, I studied  international business, I'm a student in the ELI program at Savannah State University. 




I have a beautiful pet called Hannah she is the love of my life, I like to enjoy a beautiful sunset, I am a fan of iced coffee and animals, I really enjoy traveling by road and going out with my friends, I love music, I can listen to music all day, I like to draw and paint, I consider myself a creative person, I am a friendly person and I really like to smile.



                       


My short-term goals are to learn English well so I can speak fluently and in the long term  be able to study a master's degree in business and be able to find a job in that regard. I would also like to buy my own house, get married and have a nice family.

So far in class I have learned how to make a good presentation, the tone of voice I should use, body expressions, eye contact, asking questions, and handling the stage, I would like to continue learning with presentations so I can also improve my speaking fluency and my knowledge.

My city

Mi city  Bucaramanga-Colombia  I started by giving an introduction about Colombia where I talked about how it has 32 departments one of them is Santander, and its capital is Bucaramanga. Bucaramanga is my hometown. It has a population of approximately 625,114 people, known as the beautiful city of Colombia and the city of parks. I had to show on the map the location of my house and the city, and I also talked about my family.  in the presentation, I also talked about the food of Colombia and its typical dishes, which are mute which is like a soup with meat, petitory which is the meat of the goat, hormigas culonas, and oblea which is like a dessert that comes with arequipe, cheese, cream, and blackberry or different fruits. Bucaramanga also has many tourist places to visit. I talked about three places: the bridge of the Ninth which is known as the longest bridge in Colombia and has lights that illuminate the city, I also talked about the hill of the Santisimo which is a place to see the

SMART GOAL

SMART GOAL   Specific: I want to expand my English vocabulary to better communicate and understand written and spoken English. Measurable: I will measure my progress by learning and practicing 10 new English words and their meanings each day, using flashcards, vocabulary apps, and reading English texts. Achievable: I will dedicate 30 minutes every day to learning new words, reviewing previous ones, and using them in sentences to reinforce my understanding. Relevant: Improving my English vocabulary, I will have the ability to communicate effectively in English-speaking environments, advance my career opportunities, and extend my cultural and educational experiences.
